How We Track RuneScape Gold Prices
RS Gold Prices tracks public third-party shop quotes for OSRS and RS3 gold. We are independent of Jagex.
Collection and freshness
Our scraper is scheduled hourly. A run can miss a shop or fail. Each page shows the timestamp of its actual price snapshot and marks snapshots older than six hours as historical.
Units and index
The index includes positive USD buy quotes per 1M GP from direct shops. One shop contributes one quote to the current median. The low and high are the minimum and maximum of those same shops. Buyback quotes are shown separately. Currency conversions are not inferred.
Price history
The scraper stores each observed shop quote. For each day we average a shop’s observations, then calculate the median, low and high across shops. Missing days remain missing; we do not draw a continuous trend across unobserved days. Historical values may come from an older imported archive.
Marketplaces and discounts
Individual marketplace offers do not enter the direct-shop index. Coupons, checkout fees, stock and payment-method surcharges are not included in the displayed index price. Confirm the final price with the shop.

Some outbound shop links may earn us a commission. This does not change the displayed raw quote or index calculation. Review counts, when shown, are third-party figures and are not independently verified. Being listed is not a safety certification.
Jagex rules
Jagex prohibits real-world trading of GP and may penalize accounts. We describe third-party prices for comparison and cannot guarantee any transaction is risk-free.
